Four Island residents named in the Queen\'s Birthday Honours List.
Four Isle of Man residents have been named in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
Two of the Islands top sporting starts Mark Cavendish and David Knight have been honoured with an MBE - and will become Members of the Order of the British Empire.
Mark Cavendish is being honoured for services to British Cycling and David Knight for services to the sport of Motorcycling.
Civil servant Della Patricia Fletcher will be awarded for her services to the Manx Government. Della is Director of External Relations.
And Carolyn Shipstone for services to the Community. She has been working as Care for the Family's Community Representative on the Isle of Man, working with the Island's Government, church leaders, businesses and individuals in providing courses, resources and events at a local level. Care for the Family is a national charity which aims to promote strong family life and to help those who face family difficulties.
They will all travel to Buckingham Palace to collect their honours.
