The Steam Packet Company says the Manxman will be back in Douglas later after undergoing repairs.
In a statement on Facebook, the ferry firm says the necessary repairs are now complete.
The vessel suffered damage on Tuesday night as she entered Heysham port.
With the Manxman re-entering service, the Ben-my-Chree will go back to covering freight for the remainder of Manx Grand Prix.
