Manx Utilities is urging people to control their dogs around their reservoirs.
It says dogs are being let off their leads and venturing into the dried out areas of them.
The organisation has warned if dogs foul in these areas it will get submerged in future drinking water.
They took to social media this week to reiterate the message.
We have been made aware that some dog owners have been letting their dogs off their leads & allowing them to run in the dried out area at our reservoirs. This will result in them fouling in area that will eventually be submerged in your drinking water. Please keep them on leads
