Manx Utilities has applied for permission to store hazardous waste at a former civic amenity site.
The organisation has applied for planning permission to put skips in and store vehicles at the site on the Middle River Industrial Estate.
In its application, it says it wants to store coal tar and possible contaminated soil and stones in the 8,400 square-metre unit.
The Eastern Civic Amenity Site moved to Kewaigue in 2023.
