Island youngsters are returning to classrooms from today as schools fully re-open following the lifting of the Island's circuit-break lockdown.
For the last 25 days, schools had been shut except for 14 hubs for children classed as vulnerable or those whose parents are key workers with lessons for most shifted to online learning during the restrictions.
Schools will continue to open normally for two weeks until the half-term break.
Meanwhile, school bus services have also resumed normal service today as have nurseries and child-minders.
Education Minister, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, has already thanked teachers, parents and pupils for their commitment to distance learning during the lockdown.
He adds teachers and staff are aware some parents may have concerns and these can be expressed to their child's headteacher - meanwhile children can wear face coverings if they wish.
