Manx residents are being warned about the risk of identity fraud.
It's National Identity Fraud Prevention Week in the UK and a huge increase in the crime has been reported this year.
Detective Sergeant Mike Venables from the Financial Crime Unit says the Manx public do need to extra cautious.
He said 'There are a lot of calls from members of the public regarding fears of their identity being stolen. People shouldn't give out personal details to avoid becoming a victim.'
