Manx residents are likely to have been among the victims in the UK's biggest ever anti-fraud operation.
iSpoof, a website that disguised phone numbers, was used by scammers to con 70,000 people out of around £50 million - it was shut down by police in the UK, USA and the Netherlands who've made more than 100 arrests.
The government's Office of Cyber-Security and Information Assurance says it's likely some people on the Island will have been targeted.
It's urging anyone who has been affected to get in touch via its website ocsia.im
The shutdown of iSpoof, a website that allowed scammers to mask their phone numbers, has uncovered tens of thousands of UK scam victims. Over the next few days, the Metropolitan Police will be contacting 70,000 of the potential victims.https://t.co/VbhIpDjQaS
