A Manx registered tanker has saved the lives of a British couple and their dog after their yacht sank in a storm.
The Northamptonshire couple, dog Dexter, and a Belgian crewman found themselves 900-miles North West of Bermuda caught up in 25-foot waves and clinging to a life raft for survival.
Luckily for the foursome, gas tanker 'Tilda Kosan' was on hand to save the day in what's been described as a very difficult rescue mission.
Dick Welsh is the director of the Isle of Man Ship Registry - he says the crew pulled off an impressive rescue:
MHK to present immigration petition to Tynwald
Injured walker rescued from Snaefell
Town centre road shut for five days this week
Royal Assent for laws giving parents and carers more rights
New cafe opens in iconic former pub
Have your say on the Island's childcare
