‘Manx Missile’ Mark Cavendish has been named Sportsman of the Year at the Isle of Man Sports Awards.
The event took place at the Villa Marina in Douglas this evening where success stories from 2016 were celebrated.

Sportswoman of the Year – Charlotte Atkinson (swimming)
IOM Ambassador of the Year – Cal Crutchlow (cycling)
Under 21 Sportsman of the Year – Matthew Bostock (cycling)
Under 21 Sportswoman of the Year – Ella Doherty (motorcycle trials)
Team of the Year – Manx Sidecar Trials Team
Coach of the Year – Raj Nandha (hockey)
Sports Administrator of the Year – Tony Mepham (football)
Disability Sportsperson of the Year – Ben Grainger (swimming)
Veteran Sportsperson of the Year – Richard Gerrard (walking)
Lifetime Achievement Award – Dursley Stott (Commonwealth Games and shooting).
