A radical feminist has drawn anger on social media after using a picture of the Island's flag in an online conversation with author JK Rowling.
On X (formerly Twitter) UK-based Julie Bindel posted the triskele as she joked with the writer about being a "thirder" - a derogatory term for transgender.
She and Rowling joked about the flag and being banned from the Isle of Man after a previous controversy over it sparked by the Harry Potter author.
A number of Island-based users hit out at the pair, saying the post containing the flag - seen 1.4 million times - had nothing to do with the Isle of Man.
That's made my day!!!! And you, a queer, proud Thirder, Jo pic.twitter.com/2A9DPb8Gdh
