Jersey anglers will be catching Manx rainbow trout in around two years' time, according to the government.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says 30,000 fish eggs have been sent to the Channel Islands from Cornaa Fish Farm.
The rainbow trout will be used to stock fisheries in Jersey - both Islands have disease free status, and the ova produced at Cornaa are of premium grade.
