A Manx firefighter was invited to Downing Street as he was recognised for his fundraising achievements.
Douglas fireman Rob Henwood had been named as a runner up in the Firefighters Charity annual awards ceremony at Westminster on Wednesday, June 21.
He attended the drinks reception hosted by UK Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, last week.
Mr Henwood - who has been the charity's regional co-ordinator for the Isle of Man for the past five years - said it was 'an amazing accomplishment' just to be nominated.
