Police are appealing for information after a large quantity of copper cable has been cut down from tram lines in Baldrine.
The overhead power lines between Ballagawne Road and Baldrine Road, a remote section of the Manx Electric Railway, was targeted earlier this week.
Officers say the theft happened between midday Tuesday 01st March 2011 and 3.00pm Wednesday 02nd March.
