Journalists in Ireland claim companies in the Isle of Man were paid more than £128 million for housing asylum seekers there.
An investigation by Associated Newspapers Ireland showed eight of the largest companies behind deals to house immigrants in the republic were registered here.
In total, they'd been paid more than 153 million euros for housing in Sligo, Dublin and other areas.
They accounted for around a third of payments from the Department of Integration for private asylum accommodation.
