Manx Care is exploring options of how to staff and run a new residential care home in Douglas.
Summerhill View, which will replace Reayrt ny Baie, is expected to be handed over to the Department of Health and Social Care then Manx Care in the spring.
It was hoped the 60-bed home would be fully staffed by Manx Care, however it's now looking at commissioning an independent provider to staff and operate the facility.
This process could take up to a year, with hopes two of the four units can open to residents by the end of 2024.
