Onchan member Julie Edge claimed the hospital had declared a "code red" after coming under severe staffing pressures which compromised safety.
But, on Facebook, Manx Care says "code red" incidents she referred to mean security problems and not staffing levels.
It added staff numbers last weekend never dropped below minimum levels, and so no nurses or other staff were put at risk.
