Committee members from the Isle of Man Relay For Life team have been honoured at a special reception at the House of Lords.
The team received a 'Flame of Hope' Award in London in recognition of the work and fundraising that's been done.
The 24-hour walking relay events take place across the UK - the Island has participated in seven so far.
In that time fundraisers have raised more than £400,000 for Cancer Research UK - £78,000 was collected at this year's event with the final figure still to be declared.
Nicola Walkingshaw is a committee member and organiser - she says this recognition is important:
Ramsey Remembrance service to be marked by maroon rockets
MEDS phone line to be down temporarily
Committee to examine link between poverty and poor academic performance
Police advice for trick-or-treaters to stay safe
