Fire crews will be conducting a planned excercise aboard the Manannan next week.
On the evening of Monday, February 4, firefighters will be simulating a scenario on board along with ship crew in an operation expected to last around two hours.
Steam Packet chief executive, Mark Woodward, says its announcing this to avoid any confusion for the public should they see emergency services around the fast craft at that time.
The vessel is due to return to service on March 29.
