A Douglas man who drunkenly spat blood at a police officer has had his case adjourned.
Dean Anthony Whitehead of Heather Crescent in Pulrose was excused attending when his case was called by High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
At an earlier hearing, the 35 year old admitted being drunk and disorderly and assaulting the officer at Tramman Park in Anagh Coar on October 1 last year.
Whitehead was drunk and abusive towards police who were carrying out a welfare check in the area and was arrested after he ignored repeated warnings about his behaviour.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 and is next due to appear in court on March 28.
