A man who admitted drink-driving after a works leaving do has been banned from the roads.
Dr Nikhil Sharma appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 45 year old admitted drink-driving a Mercedes E-class on the Old Castletown Road in the early hours of July 22.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon told the hearing a member of the public alerted police about Sharma's driving, saying he was in the middle of the road and driving very slowly around bends.
Officers stopped him and he failed a breath test after telling them he'd had just one pint at a colleague's leaving party.
At police headquarters, he turned out to be one and a half times over the legal alcohol limit.
He was fined £1,200, ordered to pay £125 costs and banned from driving for two years.
