Marc Andrew Joseph Taggart of Clarence Terrace in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 32 year old pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm on August 16.
However, he’s denied carrying out the attack while his victim held a young child, and also claims he didn’t kick her in the face during the incident.
Mrs Hughes bailed him until December 2, when a Newton hearing will be held to discover the facts.
