The Cabinet Office says it can't give figures for how many government workers are based off the Island, but says it currently has three such employees.
A Freedom of Information request asked for the numbers as well as which countries workers are based in.
In its response, the organisation said it could only provide its own figures - it has two people in the UK and one more in Belgium.
And it added it had nine requests to work off-Island in the last three years, and had approved them all.
