A man will be sentenced later this month after admitting smuggling cocaine into the Island on New Year’s Eve.
Craig Phillip Teare of Tramman Rise in Anagh Coar appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 35-year-old admitted one count each of producing class A drugs and possessing them on December 31.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing Teare was stopped by police at the Sea Terminal after getting off a ferry from Heysham.
They became suspicious when he gave evasive answers to questions, and took him to Noble’s Hospital - where he later produced almost three grammes of cocaine worth £290.
He told officers the drugs were for his own personal use.
Magistrates bailed him in the sum of £500 to appear in court again on January 27.
