A man accused of having almost £25,000 of cocaine will appear in court again in October.
Thomas James McBurnie of Hillside Avenue in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse via a live videolink from prison.
The 24-year-old admits possessing 3.7 grammes of cannabis but denies possessing 248 grammes of cocaine with intent to supply it and having £920 in criminal cash on August 6.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the court Mr McBurnie was arrested after collecting a parcel sent to a neighbour and putting it in a van – inside was a microwave containing the class A drugs.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 to live in Waterloo Road in Ramsey on condition he doesn’t contact witnesses or enter Hillside Terrace in Douglas.
He is next due to appear in court on October 19.
