Man stabbed in Douglas incident

Police have confirmed a man was stabbed during an incident in Douglas on Wednesday.

It comes as detectives investigate disturbances on Bucks Road and Hillside Avenue in the early hours of yesterday morning - the victims injuries are said to be serious but not believed to be life threatening.

Meanwhile, another man - charged with the violent offence - is due to appear in court later today.

Authorities added it's been considered an isolated incident and members of the public were not at risk.
