A man’s been fined after smashing a window in the main shopping street in Douglas and shouted abused at police outside McDonalds.
Kieran Michael Cain of Empire Terrace in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted being drunk and incapable, drunk and disorderly and criminal damage – all the offences were committed between July and October.
Prosecutor Roger Kane said the 21 year old smashed a shop window in Duke Street in the capital on July 15 causing more than £1,000 damage in total.
On August 8, he was arrested after being so drunk on Kensington Road he couldn’t stand unaided, and on October 18 he shouted abuse at police officers in the McDonalds car park while he was drunk.
Magistrates fined Cain a total of £110, and ordered him to pay £450 in compensation for the broken window.
