A man has been seriously injured following a significant altercation over the weekend.
The disturbance took place in the early hours of Easter Sunday in Douglas.
It happened on the seaward walkway between the bottom of King Edward Road and the Palace Hotel.
A Douglas man received numerous injuries including fractures; he had apparently gone to the aid of a friend.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have been present, or may have witnessed the incident.
