A man’s been remanded in custody as he awaits sentencing after admitting having £2,000 worth of cannabis.
Daniel James Glassey of Castle Drive in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse via a live videolink from prison.
The 32 year old admitted possessing 97.1 grams of cannabis with intent to supply it and possessing £8 worth of the drug on July 3.
A previous hearing was told neighbours alerted police after hearing him talking about cannabis – officers discovered the drugs and digital scales in a plastic bag.
Glassey claimed an unidentified man in a Land Rover gave him the drugs for free because he’d needed rent money.
Mrs Hughes committed him to the Court of General Gaol Delivery for sentencing, and remanded him in custody until he appears again on July 14.
