Man pleads guilty to having drugs sent in post

A Douglas man had pleaded guilty to two drugs charges after having 500 Diazepam tablets sent to his home address.

41-year old John Gallop appeared at Douglas Courthouse last week charged with possession with intent to supply class B and class C drugs.

Police intercepted the parcel at the Post Office earlier this month - a subsequent search of his home also found cannabis and heroin.

In court Gallop pleaded not guilty to a charge of possessing and supplying heroin.

He has been further remanded in the Isle of Man Prison until his next court appearance on February 17th.
