A drug-driver who was over the legal limit for cannabis has been banned from the roads for two year
Cole Michael Dodd of Bridge R voad in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 21 year old pleaded guilty to driving while over the cannabis limit on October 2.
The court heard police stopped his Vauxhall Corsa on Peel Road in Douglas at 6.30pm and Dodd failed a roadside drugs test administered by officers after they smelt cannabis.
Dodd told them he’d been using the drug the night before but thought he was OK to drive.
Magistrates imposed a £1,000 fine, ordered him to pay £125 costs and banned him from driving for two years.
