The incident involved three vehicles, A blue coloured Renault Modus which collided with a silver Suzuki motorcycle, then being ridden towards Peel. A blue coloured Ford Mondeo was in the immediate vicinity, also travelling towards Peel.
As a result the man riding the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries.
The next of kin of the motorcycle rider and the Coroner of Inquests have been informed.
The incident forced the closure of the road from Crosby crossroads to Ballacraine for several hours.
Police are yet to release the idendity of the deceased.
