Police have confirmed a man has died following a fatal collision on the Mountain Road yesterday.
Officers say the incident happened at 6.30pm at the Brandywell Junction on the course and involved a blue Vauxhall Zafira and a black Honda Fireblade Motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle – a 54-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the occupants of the car were all taken to hospital for treatment but have all since been released.
The Road Policing Unit is investigating the incident and is appealing for witnesses to contact Police headquarters if they have any information.
