A man has been sent to prison following Covid offences.
Police took to social media to share two men appeared before court this morning after being charged.
One man received 4 weeks in prison, the other has been charged with other offences and was remanded in prison, he will appear before Court at a later date.
No further details of the offences have been released at this time.
Officers warn they treat any breaches of Covid rules seriously and if necessary they will and have put offenders before the Courts.
In a plea to the public, the statement read:
The vast majority of the Manx public have fully followed lockdown rules. No one wants the lockdown to go on any longer than required and persons breaking Covid rules risk spreading the virus.
Let’s all work together as a community to stamp out this virus, support the vaccination program and get back to normal.
