A man’s been jailed after failing to do his community service.
James Tarron Keggin of North Shore Road in Ramsey appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted breaching a combination order between October and November last year and attempted theft on December 4.
The court heard he’d been caught trying to take a bottle of vodka and lemonade from Shoprite but had handed over the items when challenged by a member of staff.
Magistrates told him breaching a court order was a very serious offence, and jailed him for six weeks.
He was also given a five day prison sentence for the attempted theft, to run concurrently.
