A man’s been handed a three-year driving ban after notching up four drug-driving convictions in five months.
Jake Douglas Rhodes of Crosby Terrace in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 26 year old admitted being over the cannabis limit on December 16, and over the limits for cocaine and cannabis on December 19.
The court heard he was serving a two-year ban after admitting being over the cannabis limit on September 3 last year.
The latest offences were committed less than a week before he’d been due to be sentenced.
Police stopped his LDV van just after 10pm on December 16 as he drove along Peel Road – tests later showed he was over the limit.
Three days later officers arrested him again outside Costa Coffee in Crosby.
Magistrates handed him a new three-year ban to run alongside the one he’s currently serving.
Rhodes was also ordered to do 100 hours of community service, spend two years on probation and pay £250 costs.
