A Merseyside man has appeared in court charged with manslaughter.
John Meadows of Verney Crescent in Allerton appeared at Douglas Courthouse by live link from prison.
The 53-year-old hasn't yet entered a plea to the manslaughter of 57-year-old Jillian Hughes, a visitor from Merseyside, outside the Palace Hotel on Douglas Promenade on March 29.
There was no bail application and Mr Meadows was remanded in custody to appear in court again on May 28.
