A man whose car crashed in Gansey had two faulty tyres, a court’s heard.
Ryan Mark Sharvin of The Willows in Ballasalla pleaded guilty to having two defective tyres via a coroner’s admission when his case was called by magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the hearing the 21 year old was driving his blue Ford Focus along Shore Road when he lost control and crashed.
When police arrived he told them a back tyre had blown – and officers found both his front tyres were illegally worn.
Magistrates fined him a total of £500 and ordered him to pay £50 costs, as well as putting three penalty points on his licence.
