Man finds stranger asleep in van

Police are warning motorists to keep their vehicles locked, after a driver found a drunk stranger asleep in the back of his van.

Officers say the man had returned to his vehicle and drove off, which woke the drunk stranger asleep in the back.

The man then called the police who went to the scene.

The public are being urged to always lock their vehicles, and to never sleep in other people's vans. 

Officers just been to a job near HQ. Male drove off in his own van. This woke a drunk stranger who was asleep in the back. This startled the driver who  called us. Matter sorted but lessons learnt. Lock your vehicles and don't sleep in other peoples vans. #IOMPolice
