A man convicted of two indecent assaults against his ex-girlfriend has had an appeal against his sentence thrown out.
In December, Paul McCorkmack of Castle Street in Peel was jailed for 30 months after being found guilty of two counts of indecent assault following a trial in the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
That trial heard on one occasion his victim had woken up to find him assaulting her and videoing the attack.
In his appeal McCormack claimed the sentencing Deemster was wrong to describe the offences as a breach of trust and the two incidents should have been sentenced as one.
He claimed his sentence had been too long and should have been suspended.
Judge of Appeal Cross and Acting Deemster Caine, however, found the sentence hadn't been excessive and dismissed the appeal.
