A man who tried to fight door staff at a Douglas nightclub has been banned from entering licensed premises.
Philip Tomkinson of Tynwald Road in Willaston appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted being drunk and disorderly on Athol Street in the capital on September 22, when police were called to the Courthouse nightclub by security.
Tomkinson had been out with friends but when a bouncer said he was too drunk to be allowed into the club, the self-employed joiner responded with racist abuse and threats.
His advocate told the court Tomkinson had planned to go for a meal but it had been called off and he was drunk after drinking on an empty stomach.
Mrs Hughes fined him £400, ordered him to pay £125 costs and banned him from buying alcohol or entering licensed premises for three months.
