A man's been awarded more than £1,200 in costs after a charge of assaulting a woman was dropped.
David Dentith of Barrule Drive in Onchan appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 35 year old was charged with carrying out the assault on December 17 last year at the Saddle Inn in Douglas, but the court heard his alleged victim had withdrawn her complaint.
Mrs Hughes marked the charge as dismissed and awarded £1,272 to Mr Dentith after hearing he'd already contributed the money to his defence.
