Man appears in court after assault in Douglas

A man will appear in court later after an assault in Douglas early Saturday morning.

A male was taken to Noble’s Hospital following the incident that happened around 6.30am.

The altercation occurred on Queen’s Promenade and a man was arrested in what police say was a ‘short time after the incident’.

This man was charged with an offence of wounding with intent and will appear in Douglas Courthouse within the next few hours.
