Man admits sending indecent messages to someone he thought was an underage child

A man's admitted sending indecent messages to someone he thought was an underage child.

Ruben Pretorius of William Proctor Court appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.

The 33 year old admitted two counts of sending indecent messages in December 2021 and June 2022.

He hasn't yet entered a plea to a further charge of attempting to procure a child to commit gross indecency on January 20 last year.

Magistrates bailed him in the sum of £500 on condition he reports to police twice a week, and he'll next appear in court on December 7.
