A man’s admitted sending hundreds of insulting messages to his ex-girlfriend after she broke up with him because of his controlling behaviour.
Thomas Lee Parsons of Empress Drive in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 22 year old pleaded guilty to harassment between July and August.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing Parsons sent abusive and insulting messages to the woman, and on one occasion tried to get into her home after following her.
He was arrested after sending messages threatening to break her windows and smash her neck in, but when questioned by police he replied “no comment”.
After hearing Parsons was also due to be sentenced for unrelated charges, magistrates bailed him in the sum of £500 on condition he doesn’t try to contact his victim or enter the road where she lives.
He’ll next appear on September 6.
