A man’s admitted possessing cannabis after police smelled the drug in his car when they spoke to him.
Nathan James Roberts of Hillside Avenue in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 22 year old admitted possessing the class B drug on Moaney Road in Santon on December 3 last year.
Prosecutor Roger Kane said police spotted him in his vehicle at around 7pm and approached it to talk to him.
However, they smelled drugs and Roberts handed over a snapbag containing 2.4 grammes of cannabis, admitting it was his.
The court heard the drugs had a street value of £72 although Roberts told officers he’d bought it for £30.
Mrs Hughes bailed him in the sum of £500 to appear in court again on May 10.
