A man accused of throwing his girlfriend onto a coffee table, smashing it and injuring her, has been denied bail.
Karl Allen Cameron of Cronk y Berry in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 33 year old denies causing actual bodily harm, criminal damage and stealing a mobile phone, purse and £150 cash on November 17.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the hearing Mr Cameron's fiancée rang police shortly before 10.30pm, claiming he'd drunkenly assaulted her.
He's also said to have brandished a knife during the incident.
Magistrates refused a bail application and remanded him in custody until his next appearance at as pre-trial review hearing on January 17.
