Christopher Michael Moore of Ballacross Road in Peel appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He denied the allegation, which is said to have taken place on Mannin Road in Douglas on May 27.
Magistrates bailed the 35 year old in the sum of £500, and he'll next appear at a pre-trial review hearing on February 17.
