Major plans have been announced to overhaul the GCSE system for students on the Island.
The exam system is being extensively reformed in the UK, with the Island needing to either follow its lead or choose an alternative path.
The Department of Education and Children will now consult the public over the changes which will affect children aged between 14 and 16.
From September 2015 most GCSEs in England will stop including coursework, with students of all abilities sitting the same examination papers.
