The new Health and Social Care Minister has gained the support of the Liberal Vannin Party.
Howard Quayle has the backing of leader Kate Beecroft, who has praised his decision to publish the West Midlands Quality Review Service report in full.
Mrs Beecroft first called for a review of the hospital two years ago, and was a fierce critic of previous Health Minister David Anderson.
She says she is confident he will be honest and open about the failings and work to improve the service.
The department has an extra £2.1 million available to make the necessary improvements flagged up in the report.
