The Island's Lieutenant Governor will take the plunge in the Douglas New Year's Dip to raise money for charity.
Sir John Lorimer and his wife Lady Philippa will be raising funds for Breast Cancer Now and Beach Buddies.
Organisers say the dip - which takes place on the northern end of Douglas Beach at 10am on New Year's Day - has 'grown enormously' in recent years.
